Come join our dynamic program!
The piano department provides a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Each student receives personal attention with a minimum of one individual lesson weekly, participation in a weekly studio class, and a weekly skills class that includes technique work and sight reading practice. The Director of Keyboard Studies, Dr. Lelia Sadlier, and Adjunct Professor Beth Tomassetti are committed to nurturing each student, helping the student to grow and learn in a healthy atmosphere.
In addition to lessons and master classes, CNU offers both chamber music coaching and accompanying opportunities. There is also the annual concerto competition as well as a variety of local competitions. Talented high school students have the option to capitalize on sample lessons with faculty members through the Music Major for a Day program. Graduates with degrees in piano are encouraged to continue their studies at the graduate level and are employed in a variety of careers as music teachers, collaborative artists and performers.
